I had a really pleasant stay at this hotel. The rooms are standard Premier Inn style, and I was pleased with the cleanliness and comfort of my room. The staff made a significant difference with their friendliness and helpfulness throughout my visit. However, the dining experience fell short, with some issues regarding food quality at the restaurant next door. Overall, it offers good value for money, especially for those looking to explore the surrounding area.

Rooms
8.0
The room was spacious, clean, and had a nice view overlooking a field. I appreciated the comfortable bed and the option to open the window.
Service
9.0
The service was very helpful, especially during the check-in process and when arranging a taxi into Edinburgh.
Location
9.0
Situated in a quiet area, it's close to the A1 and the City Bypass, making it easy to access both Musselburgh and Edinburgh.
Dining

While the dining experience at the adjacent restaurant was a bit hit-or-miss, I did enjoy some decent meals during my stay.

The hotel had good amenities and the room featured large TVs which were a nice touch.

6.0/10

The hotel provided a pleasant stay with its clean and comfortable rooms along with friendly staff. However, the dining experience next door didn't cater to families well, and there were notable issues with check-in that caused stress during my visit. While the hotel is well-positioned, improvements in the family dining area and better management of booking issues would enhance the experience significantly.

Rooms
8.0
The rooms were clean, cosy, and came with convenient charging sockets, though they were not cleaned or towel changed on the busy Saturday.
Service
6.0
The staff was generally helpful, especially Angie who did her best to resolve a stressful check-in issue. However, overall service could improve with better management.
Location
7.0
The hotel is located in a lovely quiet area, convenient for visiting nearby attractions and close to the Brewers Fayre pub.
Dining
5.0
Dining at the adjacent pub was not family-friendly, as the limited play area had been out of order for a long time and the environment was not welcoming for children.
Facilities
5.0
The facilities were satisfactory for a budget hotel, yet the lack of accessibility for children in the dining area was disappointing.

We had a lovely stay at the hotel, enjoying the comfort of our room and the friendly service. The location was excellent for accessing local attractions, and we appreciated the spacious rooms. However, the dining experience left much to be desired due to the rude staff and missed menu specials, which detracted from an otherwise pleasant time.

Rooms
9.0
The room was spacious and clean, with a very comfortable bed which made for great nights of sleep.
Service
6.0
The front desk staff were incredibly helpful accommodating my request for milk, but the restaurant staff were rude during our dinner, which dampened the experience.
Location
9.0
The hotel is well-positioned near the motorway and close to various golf courses, making it a great choice for our trip.
Dining
5.0
While the menu at the restaurant seemed promising, the service was disappointing and poor communication about daily specials was frustrating.
Facilities
7.0
The hotel offered good amenities, but the dining area did not live up to expectations due to staff issues.

I found this hotel a great choice, especially for a weekend of horse racing at Musselburgh. The rooms were spotless and comfortable, making the stay pleasant. However, the dining experience left much to be desired, especially in terms of quality and service at the restaurant next door. Overall, it's a solid option, but be prepared for some dining disappointments.

While the breakfast was delicious and plentiful, the dinner experience at the Brewer's Fayre was disappointing due to the understaffing and mediocre food quality.

7.8/10

I had a pleasant stay overall at this hotel, with large and modern rooms that felt nicely refurbished and a convenient location just a short drive from town. The check-in process was efficient, and while the comfort and cleanliness of my room were commendable, another room I encountered during a friend's stay had issues that need addressing. I appreciated the peaceful atmosphere and the nearby dining options at the Brewers Fayre, but there were some minor drawbacks regarding specific room conditions I experienced.

Rooms
8.0
The room I stayed in was large, modern, and had a comfortable bed, though I heard other rooms might have maintenance issues like damp smells.
